Re-pointing brickwork or masonry is slow and messy, so the natural temptation for the person doing this work is to try to find ways of doing it more quickly such as not taking out enough of the old mortar, causing havoc with the dust from raking it out or rushing the pointing and leaving an untidy finish. As the North East Franchise, Gun-point North -East recruit locally. Our staff are all trained in house, to use our specialist equipment. All our staff start on-site fully trained and qualified, something we take very seriously. Something that also provides a competent and safe site for our customers and staff. To help us evidence our standards Gun-point North-East is also ISO accredited members of Construction line and CHAS registered, which helps us to maintain the high working practises and standards we set ourselves.
Gun-point North-East are very proud of their roots and like to give something back, so we dedicated a pot of money every year to invest into local sporting clubs. Over the past few years, when have sponsored some of the more recognised sporting clubs and players in the region, including Newcastle Thunder Academy, local born Newcastle Falcons player Trevor Davison and the Newcastle Eagles. However it’s not just about the professional clubs, we have covered rugby in North Shields, and Wallsend, football in Hebburn, cricket in South Shields amongst others.
Being based in the North East has allowed us to really invest in the region, we source all staff, material and equipment from North East suppliers, which include stationary, plant and equipment, attire, tools etc. We try to use small businesses as much as we can to help support the independent retailers within our region.
Our vans are all tracked to ensure minimum travel distances are made, driving is safe and accommodating to other road users. Our paperless day to day management programme CTRL-Hub provides us with an on-line window to make sure our staff, sites and assets are all above board, while allowing is to run our business day to day without paper and waste. So OK we are not going to save the earth. But we are doing our bit!
