Re-Pointing

Repointing, is the process of renewing mortar within masonry construction.

Over time, weathering and decay cause voids in the joints between masonry units, usually in bricks, allowing the undesirable entrance of water. Water entering through these voids can cause significant damage through frost weathering and from salt dissolution and deposition.

Remove – Remove the ineffective mortar
The Sweep down – Clean out the debris so the new mortar can be injected
Pointing – injection of new mortar back into the beds
The strike the mortar – shaping your mortar (See below)
Brush off – – will remove any un-wanted mortar
Property Wash – will rejuvenate the property
Full property cleans up – All rubbish will be removed so you can enjoy your home again.

Add a colour to your mortar...

Why would you colour? Providing a constant in coloured mortar is very important to the finished product. Their has to be a closely measured process to colouring the mortar. Adding an additional colour to the mortar needs be monitored and delivered in specific constant quantities to achieve the relevant agree colour. Poorly mixed coloured mortar will produce a patchwork effect in turn very patchy and discoloration across the property.
